The Amazing iOS 6 Maps

Less than a day after Apple released iOS 6 and unveiled its in-house maps, users have gone to Twitter and Tumblr to post their most ridiculous findings.
When using the 3D feature, some searches end up showing you an apocalyptic rendition of some of the world's most cherished monuments.

  1. Sweden’s second largest city, Gothenburg seems to have vanished.

  2. Berlin, Antarctica

  3. There is no Chevron, in Brazil.

  4. Olympic Plaza in Calgary: now an entire block away.
Bonus: the Olympic Plaza train station hasn’t existed for a few years.

  5. This is the Seven Bridge linking England and Wales. It looks more like a collapsing damn

  6. Everything suddenly goes a bit flat north of Oxford Street, London

  7. In Gloucestershire UK we are a divided county; the slightly fuzzy poorly-labelled black & whiters, and the really fuzzy poorly-labelled but multi-coloured peoples. I fear the division could lead to civil war…

  8. so many options, but only half the way there…

  9. nope – no petrol station. just a local small Sainsbury’s. Petrol station on a bridge wouldn’t really work anyway.
