Volkswagen Golf motorist comes unstuck in New Year's post-it prank

The shocked owner of a Volkswagen Golf awoke at the dawn of 2010 to find his car covered in hundreds of fluorescent Post-it notes in an apparent prank.
No part of the car was left untouched with the hubcaps littered with yellow Post-its and the headlights blanked out by a collection of orange bits of paper

Even the famous VW badge on the front was covered during the attack on a busy street in central Bristol.

Neither the driver nor the culprits have been identified, but a clue could be in a collection of Post-its on the rear windscreen seemingly spelling the name 'Matt'.
